UPPSC Syllabus Optional Removal News
Under the guidance of CM Yogi Adityanath, the state cabinet has decided to remove the optional subjects from the UPPSC PCS Exam. Instead, two additional General Studies (GS) papers will be added to the UPPSC Mains Exam.
- The newly introduced GS Papers will assess candidates knowledge of specific state-related topics. Therefore, aspirants should focus on state-specific General Studies subjects for the UPPSC Mains exam. Key areas of study should include state history, geography, policies, economy, disaster management, and other state-related perspectives.
UPPSC Interview
The Personnel Interview marks the final stage of the UPPSC Exam 2024. Candidates who will pass the Mains exam will be invited for this interview, which is worth 100 marks. UPPSC Interview is conducted by a board appointed by the UPPSC, the interview evaluates a candidate’s suitability for a career in state services. During the interview, candidates are expected to demonstrate their knowledge of academic subjects, and current events both within and outside their state or country. The interview is designed as a purposeful conversation to explore the candidate’s mental qualities and analytical abilities.
