The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has requested the state police’s Special Task Force to investigate allegations of a potential leak of the UPPSC RO ARO question paper during the preliminary recruitment examination for Review Officers and Assistant Review Officers (ROs/AROs). The examination was conducted for the recruitment of 334 RO posts and 77 ARO posts on February 11. Despite this, allegations arose from aspirants and certain student organizations claiming that the UPPSC RO ARO question paper had been leaked before the commencement of the exam.
UPPSC RO ARO Paper Leak 2024
During the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission’s Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) examination, an incident occurred in Dhumanganj where a candidate reportedly tore the OMR sheet. Following a written complaint from the center management, the police registered a case and apprehended the accused. Subsequently, the individual was released on bail. RD Memorial School in Abubakarpur, Dhumanganj, served as the examination center. Mahendra Kumar Prajapati, the son of Handia resident Kanhaiya Lal, was accused by the center management of tearing the OMR sheet during the ongoing examination in the first shift.
RO ARO Exam Paper Peak
On February 11, 2024, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) conducted the preliminary examination for Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) positions in the state. Shortly after the examination, reports of a potential paper leak began circulating widely on social media.
As of the evening of February 11, numerous users on social media platforms asserted that the examination paper had allegedly been leaked in certain districts. Claims on social media suggested that the RO/ARO exam 2024 paper, along with answers to all the questions, had been leaked prior to the actual examination.
RO ARO Paper Cancel?
On Monday, competitive students staged a demonstration outside the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission to protest against the alleged leaking of RO/ARO papers. Chanting slogans such as ‘The paper is leaked, the government is absolutely weak,’ the agitated students burned the effigy of the Chief Minister. They demanded the cancellation of the RO/ARO examination and its subsequent re-conduction.
Harendra Kumar, a student leader from Allahabad University, asserted that the exam paper was circulating on WhatsApp before the official start of the examination, expressing concerns about the constant jeopardizing of students’ futures. The Commission was warned that unless the RO/ARO paper is promptly canceled, and a new examination date is scheduled, the state government should anticipate protests from the students.
