UPSC Prelims Admit Card 2024 Out, Download CSE Hall Ticket Now

UPSC Prelims Admit Card 2024 has been released on the official portal at upsc.gov.in for the CSE exam. The Union Public Service Commission activated the UPSC Admit Card for the prelims, the download link is also added here. This year Civil Service Exam (CSE) will be conducted on Sunday, 16 June 2024 at various exam centres all over the country.

After the UPSC Prelims 2024 exam, the mains exam will take place from September 20th, 2024 onwards. In 2024, the commission announced a total of 1,056 vacancies for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) and 150 for the Indian Forest Service (IFoS).

Step-1. Visit the official website of UPSC– upsc.gov.in.

What should candidates do if they don’t receive their UPSC CSE Admit Card?

If a candidate does not receive their UPSC Admit Card for the prelim exam they should immediately contact the commission. They can get information from the facilitation counter at the commission’s office in person or by calling 011-23381125, 011-23385271, or 011-23098543.

If the candidate does not report the non-receipt of their admit card at least three days before the exam, they will be responsible for not having it. No candidate will be allowed to take the exam without an admit card. Upon downloading the UPSC CSE e-admit card, check it carefully for any discrepancies and report them to the UPSC immediately.

  • Admit Card Verification: Ensure that all details on the admit card are correct, including your name, photograph, signature, and exam centre details.
  • Reporting Time: Reach the exam centre well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. Late entry might not be allowed.
  • Prohibited Items: Do not carry any electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, etc., inside the exam hall. Also, avoid carrying any study material, notes, or rough papers.
  • Dress Code: Dress appropriately in light clothes. Avoid wearing clothes with too many pockets or any jewellery.
  • Exam Materials: Carry only the necessary stationery items like blue or black ballpoint pens. Rough work should be done only in the space provided in the question paper.
  • Seat Allocation: Sit only on the seat allocated to you. Any attempt to change the seat might lead to disqualification.

  • Duration of Exam: Keep track of time as the duration of the exam will be strictly followed. Do not leave the examination hall before the completion of the exam.

UPSC Civil Services Admit Card 2024

The UPSC Civil Service Prelims Admit Card is released by the authority. The UPSC CSE prelims exam consists of two compulsory papers, each worth 200 marks. Both papers are objective-type multiple-choice questions with a duration of two hours each.

  • General Studies Paper-2 (CSAT) is a qualifying paper with a minimum qualifying mark set at 33%. A penalty of one-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for wrong answers.
  • UPSC CSE 2024 question papers will be available in both Hindi and English.
  • The prelims exam will be conducted in two shifts on the same day: the GS Paper 1 will take place from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, and the GS Paper 2 (CSAT) will be held from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
  • Candidates are allowed up to six attempts to clear the UPSC exam, while those belonging to the OBC and PwBD categories get nine attempts.
  • Approximately 12 to 13 times the number of vacancies will be admitted to the civil services (main) examination each year.
