UPSC Indian Forest Service Vacancy 2025
With the release of the official notification for the IFS exam 2025 by UPSC, a total of 150 vacancies are to be filled by candidates. Reservations will be made for categories like SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD candidates as per government rules. Some vacancies are specifically reserved for the PwBD category, but these may also change. Applicants must first complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process on the UPSC official website: https://upsc.gov.in/. This OTR is a one-time requirement. UPSC IFS Eligibility Criteria 2025
Before starting the preparations for the UPSC IFOS exam, candidates must check their eligibility for the exam as it is mandatory to fulfill the eligibility criteria to be appointed as an IFOS officer, we have mentioned eligibility conditions for the Indian Forest Service;

- Minimum – 21 years
- Maximum – 32 years
- Age relaxation of 10, 5, and 3 years is provided to PwBDs, SC/ST, and OBC respectively.
Educational Qualification
- The Candidate should have successfully passed 10+2
- Also, the candidate is required to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Nationality
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India
- A Person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, certain East African countries, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

- Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.

- Each correct answer is awarded 2 marks and 1/3rd marks are deducted for every wrong answer.
