UPSC Mains Detailed Application Form (DFA)

As you all know, the UPSC Civil Services Examination has three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Personality Test. For each stage, candidates have to fill out an application form. In the preliminary stage, only basic details like name, category, and date of birth are needed and for the Mains and Personality Test stages, candidates are required to provide more detailed information.

To do this, the commission releases an online Detailed Application Form (DAF) on its official website, ‘upsc.gov.in’. After verifying the information from the UPSC Mains DAF, the authorities issue Mains admit cards to eligible candidates. There are two parts of DAF:

  • DAF I: For the Mains exam
