UPSC Vacancy 2024
The UPSC Vacancy 2024 will be released along with the UPSC Notification 2024 with other information. The number of vacancies to be filled through the examination is not revealed yet but UPSC IAS vacancies to be filled through the examination are expected to be approximately 1105 which include 37 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability Category, i.e. 7 vacancies for candidates of
- (a) blindness and low vision; 5 Vacancies
- (b) deaf and hard of hearing; 15 Vacancies
- (c) locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy; and 10 Vacancies
- (d) multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (c) including deaf-blindness.

UPSC Education Qualification Criteria
The IAS Eligibility Criteria include the following academic requirements:
- Minimum Qualification: Candidates must possess a degree from a government-recognized University or an equivalent qualification.
- Final Year Candidates: Those in their final year or awaiting results can also apply for the UPSC preliminary Examination. However, proof of passing the required examination must be submitted with the application for the main IAS examination.
- Professional and Technical Qualifications: Candidates with professional and technical qualifications recognized by the Government as equivalent to degrees are eligible.
