ஐபிபிஎஸ் என பிரபலமாக அறியப்படும் வங்கி பணியாளர் தேர்வாணையம் (IBPS), இந்திய அரசின் நிதி அமைச்சகத்தின் உரிமையின் கீழ் செயல்படும் ஒரு தன்னாட்சி ஆட்சேர்ப்பு நிறுவனமாகும். இது SBI தவிர அனைத்து பொதுத்துறை வங்கிகளுக்கும் ஆட்சேர்ப்பு செய்வதற்காக தகுதி தேர்வுகளை நடத்துகிறது. எனவே, வங்கித்துறையில் அதிகாரி வகை பதவிகளை பெற IBPS தேர்வு எழுத வேண்டியது அவசியம். IBPS வங்கி தேர்வானது ஒரு ஆண்டுக்கு நான்கு முறை நடத்தப்படும்.
IBPS தேர்வில் கலந்து கொள்ள விண்ணப்பதாரருக்கு குறைந்தபட்சம் 20 வயது முதல் அதிகபட்ச வரம்பு 40 வயதுக்குள் இருக்க வேண்டும். சிறப்பு பிரிவினருக்கு விதிகளின்படி அதிகபட்ச வயது வரம்பில் தளர்வு வழங்கப்படும். அதன்படி, SC/ST விண்ணப்பதாரர்களுக்கு 5 ஆண்டுகளும், OBC பிரிவினருக்கு 3 ஆண்டுகளும் அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
