SSC CGL Exam Pattern for Tier I

Before you begin your preparation, start by understanding the latest SSC CGL Exam Pattern. Here, we have provided the summary of the SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern which consists of 4 subjects: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. There is no sectional timing or sectional cut-off. However, accuracy is important for securing high marks as there is a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for each wrong answer.

The SSC CGL Tier II exam has a similar pattern. However, in addition to the above subjects, there is also a Computer Knowledge Test and a Data Entry/Skill Test.

Additionally, candidates who opt for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) have to appear in Paper II on Statistics. Candidates opting for the post of Assistant Audit or Accounts Officer will appear in Paper III on General Studies (Finance and Economics).
